Nature Nurture Landscapes
Designing, Creating, Enhancing And Maintaining Beautiful Spaces For You And For Wildlife
Nature Nurture Landscapes offers garden and wildlife area design, creation and maintenance services for private gardens and public spaces including schools and businesses. I am also able to offer bespoke seasonal foraging and wildlife walks and talks. Covering Hampshire, West Sussex and the Isle of Wight within a 35 mile radius of PO8 area

Consultation: I conduct an initial garden consultation for me to understand how you want your space to work, your likes and dislikes and what you hope to see created.
Design: Whether you have an acre or more or just metres, I can help to enhance or create a place that is more vibrant and biodiverse. with colour and structure throughout the year.

Creation: I use climate resilient, wildlife-rich planting schemes to suit your style, soil type, aspect, use and surroundings.
Maintenance: Upon completion, a maintenance service and also a follow up advice service is available according to what is required – be that weekly, monthly or biannually.

Wildlife area creation: If you have an area that you would like to be improved for wildlife, I can create to suit, incorporating features such as edible gardens for you and for wildlife, ponds and bogs, wildflower walks, bug and bird habitats and sensory gardens.
Creation can be planned as a corporate event or school project.
Once completed, I can also create educational wildlife resources such as what to look out for and key features.
I provide maintenance or training for others to take it over.
Walks and Talks: We are lucky to have the South Downs on our doorstep, but equally, urban wildlife and foraging can be very interesting too.
I can plan and deliver local walks and talks. Location dependent on season and group size. Contact me for more details.

How I work: I love sharing my knowledge and passion for plants and wildlife and am happy for my clients to work with me. Many do and it is one of the things I really love about my job.
I practice wildlife friendly gardening methods and do not use synthetic chemicals.
Never wanting to throw a plant away, I also offer a plant share scheme for existing customers where surplus plants are passed on for free.
Examples of my work:
This is an example of a garden design which I created in three stages over three years. I continue to work there in an advisory capacity and to carry out specific tasks throughout the year, so I am privileged to be able to see it as it continues to establish and meld with the rest of the garden.

About me
My name is Clare and I am passionate about plants, gardening and wildlife conservation.

I have spent my whole life gardening and looking after animals and have been involved in volunteer conservation work from a young age. Whilst studying for my Bachelors degree in ‘Agriculture And The Environment,’ I gained valuable experience working on various farms and orchards. Once completed, I then went on to do part of a ‘Plants In The Landscape’ degree, whilst working at a garden centre for a few years. I travelled and worked in Australia and then lived in Thailand for 7 years where I helped to set up and run the first english programme school, before coming back to the UK to train as a science teacher. I taught secondary science for fifteen years including biology and environmental land-based sciences to A level; and became Head of Science. During that time I organised hundreds of extra activities and outdoor studies with local conservation groups and also ran gardening, animal and enterprise clubs. I also taught students the practical woodland conservation skills in our small family copse.
Seven years ago I decided to follow my passion and become a full time consultant, garden designer and gardener.
I love to share my knowledge and passion for plants and wildlife with all ages, so also offer sessions on habitat creation, enhancing gardens for wildlife, edible wildlife gardens and foraging.
